Branko Pavlovski recently joined the faculty at Goce Delcev University School of Music as Assistant Professor of Clarinet. While pursuing the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at Louisiana State University he was a teaching assistant for Robert DiLutis and a private instructor in the Baton Rouge area. Previously, Pavlovski served as a clarinet teacher at the National Music and Ballet Educational Center in Skopje, Macedonia.
Pavlovski is an active soloist and chamber musician who has performed internationally in the United States, France, England, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Serbia and Macedonia. He recently performed several critically acclaimed concerts in Europe and US. This included a televised recital “live” from the National Museum of Macedonia in the capital city, Skopje. After a recital in Paris, the Evening News praised his “...tonal beauty and musical expression...” He has performed at LSU Contemporary Music Festival, “MusiPoeSci” Festival, Dartington Summer Festival, Ohrid Summer Festival, Skopje Summer Festival, Stip Summer Festival, “Golden Lyre” Festival, “Days of Macedonian Music” Festival, Rome Celebration of “Cyril and Methodius,” Skopje Cultural and Informative Center, Jeunnese Musicales de Macedoine.
As an avid performer of contemporary classical music, Pavlovski has premiered several new works for clarinet. Through the years, he has been member of numerous ensembles, including the Woodwind Quintet “Nova,” Woodwind Quintet “Art,” Trio Academico, UGD Woodwind Trio, LSU Chamber Music Series, and Ensemble de Atelier de Musique Contemporaine de Conservatoire de Versailles. Pavlovski held the principal clarinet position with the Macedonian Army Orchestra. Other orchestral experience includes appearances with Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, Acadiana Symphony, Opera Louisiane, Mozart Orchestra Prague, and Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra.
Pavlovski studied at Louisiana State University (DMA), Ss. Cyril & Methodius University - Skopje (MM, BM), National Music Academy - Sofia (MM), Academy of Performing Arts - Prague, and Conservatoire National de Region de Versailles, Conservatoire National de Region Ville d’Avrey – Paris. His clarinet teachers were Robert DiLutis, Phillipe Cuper, Dominique Vidal, Petko Radev, Stepan Koutnik, Ivan Kocarov, and Ljupcho Trenchevski.
