Zoran Utkovski received his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing) degree (with highest honors) from the University of Ulm in Ulm, Germany in September 2010, where he also worked as Research and Teaching Assistant. He received his M.Sc. (with distinction) from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden in March 2004 and his Dipl.-Ing. degree from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje in July 2000. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science at the University Goce Delcev in Stip,  His research interest is mainly in communication and information theory. He works on coding for non-coherent communication in wireless systems and analysis of the performance limits of wireless networks, with accent on the geometric approach. His further interests include cooperative communications, protocol coding and information geometry. He is coauthor of a paper awarded the best poster award at the IEEE Communication Theory Workshop in 2010. He has publications and active submissions in IEEE journals and major IEEE conferences in Information Theory, Communications and Signal Processing. He has served as reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, IEEE Communication Letters, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He is national representative in the Management Committee of the COST IC1004 Action “Cooperative Radio Communications for Green Smart Environment”. He is member of the IEEE Information Theory Society and of the national IEEE Information Theory Chapter.
